Lots of happenings this weekend!

Being an aunt to nearly 20 adorable kids, means that there is always a lot happening!

On Friday my little baby sister Brianna, went to the hospital to give birth to a healthy, adorable baby girl! Her name is Amelia Kay Wright. She weighed 7 pounds 8 ounces at her birth and came out with lots and lots of blonde hair! The reason why this is so important to me, is because a year and half ago my niece Olivia was born at 30 weeks, a stillborn. She suffered for so long over the loss of her daughter. It was awful to watch my sister in so much pain. To watch her and her husband have to grieve their new baby, to put her in the ground, it was torture. I believe that Olivia was born to Austin and Brianna for a reason, they have both matured so much since that trial. They have grown together and make such a cute family. I think Olivia fulfilled her purpose on this earth, without even entering it. I believe that she was in heaven, sending her sister Amelia down to her new family. She is blessed with a sweet brother, and a loving mother and father.

Funny thing is, Amelia was born the exact same day as my nephew Kason! I can't believe he is already 3 years old! Time goes by way too fast! He's such a cute little guy!

Yesterday, which was Saturday, my nephew Mikey got baptized. What?! He's already 8 years old, how did this happen! I am so proud of him and the young man he is becoming!!

Today my other nephew, Kamden received his baby blessing in church. So many exciting things going on in our family, with so many cute babies and kids.

I sure do love all my nieces and nephews and wish I could see them more often!!

Catch up time!

I know I promised I would keep up with blogging, and again I am slacking. In my defense, it has been a very busy couple of weeks!

First, I went in to get my hair cut shorter and the "stylist" that did my hair, did quite a number on it! On memorial day I went to a different salon and stylist and she was able to fix the mistakes from the first stylist. I had to go a little shorter, but I actually ended up loving my cut and could see myself keeping it for a while! It's always so hard to find a new stylist. Too bad all of the people I know and trust with my hair are so far away!

The next big thing is, Jazlynne finally learned how to peddle her bike! I know this seems like such a minor thing for a four year old, but this is a huge deal for Jazlynne! We had been trying to teach her for two years, and no success. There has been some things in the past she's done that has set some alarm bells go off in my head. After discussing it with Craig, her doctor, and her church teachers, I decided we should take her in for an evaluation. Right before we moved to Helena we took Jazlynne in for some testing in Idaho Falls. It was two days of two hour sessions each. The week before we moved we received her results. She was diagnosed with anxiety, which is very understandable considering what she has been through in her short little life. The other diagnoses was something called, dyspraxia. Something that I had never heard of before. According to
 www.dyspraxiafoundation.org.uk/about-dyspraxia/

"Dyspraxia, a form of developmental coordination disorder (DCD) is a common disorder affecting fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults. It may also affect speech."

For Jazlynne it has been a more mild form affecting the way she uses utensils, whether it be for writing or eating. She has had a difficulty with learning how to peddle a bike. She could do backwards ok, but peddling forward, she couldn't comprehend. She also has it slightly with her speech. She loves to talk and could do it all day, but there are certain times when she can't get the right words to come out. There are things we can work on to improve her struggles. Occupational and speech therapy were a recommendation they had for us.

It was quite exciting though when we were outside playing around and she all of a sudden started peddling her bike. It was a huge milestone for her and I was so proud of her!!!

We were so blessed to have a surprise visit from Nanna and Grandpa Duncan from Canada! They were driving through on their way to Utah, and wanted to stop in for a visit. It was so good to see them! Nanna went straight to the girls' room and wanted them to show her all their toys. She got down on the floor with them and played for a quite a while. Jazlynne was so happy to see Nanna! Craig was able to catch up with Grandpa and find out what's going on with everyone in his family these days. I wish their visit could have been longer, but it's always good when we get to see them!

....And that is just the short version of what our days have been like lately!
